UNITS

Foundations of software development and agile methodologies
Begin with the fundamentals of software development, ensuring a solid understanding of concepts before advancing to more complex subjects. Topics include Agile, Scrum, Lean methodologies, and basic Git for version control.
A workshop with a guest speaker on the importance of Agile methodologies in modern software development.
Frontend development with React
Focus on React essentials before introducing state management and advanced component architectures.
Creating responsive designs and single-page applications.
Databases and backend development
After the frontend has been developed we will begin to look to build a more well rounded application by diving into SQL databases and REST APIs, touching on GraphQL.
Utilise the programming fundamentals covered in the pre-course to dive deeper into server-side development, databases, and API construction.
Mobile development with React Native
Over this week, we will dive into basic mobile development to expand your application to work across multiple devices.
Ensure a smooth transition from web to mobile development principles, applying React knowledge to mobile app creation with React Native.
DevOps, Terraform, and AWS Cloud Services
Across these weeks, we will address automation, this includes CI, deployments and the fundamentals of AWS, as well as looking into the science of DevOps and best practices people and teams should be looking for.
Workshop on cloud infrastructure management and automation with a DevOps expert. Introduction to AWS services, focusing on practical application deployment and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
Capstone project and career preparation
Everything we've learned on the course so far leads up to a capstone project, where as individuals we are looking for you to setup and deploy a full stack application with the help of Contic support and each other. We will also take you through career preparations to ensure that you put your best foot forward going into your development career!
Demonstration of projects to an audience including peers, instructors, and invited industry professionals, facilitating networking and feedback.

Do I need to have coding experience to complete the bootcamp?
No, you do not need any prior experience to complete our Tech Career Accelerator bootcamp. All we expect is for you to be motivated, enthusiastic and curious. We provide you with pre-course preparation to complete before the course begins, which will bring you up to speed, so you are more than ready to begin the course!
Will I need to do anything before starting the course?
Once accepted, you will be notified and provided with the pre-course preparation. This will cover the basics of programming and mathematical challenges to complete at your own pace, 2 weeks before the course begins. Throughout this you will have exclusive check in points with developers each week and access to our support.
How does the application process work?

Completing our coding bootcamp can lead to a variety of beneficial outcomes. These include, gaining proficiency in coding languages, networking with industry professionals, and building a career in tech.
What support will I receive during the bootcamp?
We offer a wide range of support during the bootcamp and even before it. During your pre-course preparation, you will have access to support from our developers over slack with any queries you may have. Throughout the course, you will have personalised attention with there being only 10-15 students per cohort and also career and networking support.
